We can now report that the road has reopened and is operating under two-way temporary traffic lights.

Police have shut the road between the Earl Shilton roundabout and the Desford Road junction. Officers are advising drivers to find an alternative route.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "Some customers in the Barwell LE9 and LE10 area will notice they have no water this morning.
