Barwell Parish Council cancel popular Christmas lights switch-on event because of on-going fears over the coronavirus
The village will still have a Christmas tree and Christmas lights, but there won't be an actual lights switch on event this year.

Due to Social Distancing and guidelines from Brass Band England our popular Brass on the Grass Event due to take place on the 6th September will not now take place.
We apologise to everyone who would normally support this event but it is vital we follow the Government's social distancing guidelines and our main priority is the health of our communities, the band musicians and our staff.

Barwell Parish Council is supporting the National Citizen Service (NCS) which is open to all 16 and 17-year-olds in England. The NCS who run the Youth Engagement Opportunity scheme helps teenagers build skills for work and life, take on new challenges, meet new friends and this week some of them will be busy painting the railings around Barwell Park Play Area
