Barwell Parish Council

Serving the people of Barwell

Radford Park in Barwell was recently littered with over one hundred yellow ducks waiting for the children to find and exchange for an Easter Egg. The Easter Event organised by Barwell Parish Council was once again a huge success despite the inclement weather conditions which thankfully didn't stop the children from avidly searching for their Easter ducks.

The Parish Council would like to thank everyone who attended in particular the local police and fire brigade as well as local community groups including Barwell Knutty Knitters and Barwell Bloomers.

Special prizes were awarded to the children for the best Easter Bonnet and the best Easter Cake.

Councillor Barry Granger said "The Easter Egg Hunt went really well again this year despite the rain. Lots of families attended and all the children went home happy with their eggs. The Easter Eggtravaganzer is the first of many events for the local community the Parish Council are organising this year. The next event Barwell by the Sea takes place on Saturday 14th July at Radford Park when we hope the weather has improved".
