CANCELLED EVENTS

It has unfortunately become inevitable that Barwell Parish Council must cancel their first two planned events of 2020. The Easter Eggstravaganzer and the 75th VE Day celebrations.

We are hopeful that the other events will be able to go ahead but we will keep you informed.

BARWELL PUBLIC TOILETS

In line with the Government Guidelines Barwell Parish Council has made the decision to close the Public Toilets until further notice. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

New Eco-Friendly Vehicle for Barwell Parish Council

Barwell Parish Council have recently taken delivery of a new Eco-friendly Transit Van after the old one became uneconomical to repair and very expensive to run. The new vehicle, formally handed over to the Council at the beginning of January 2020 has been leased for five years.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER FOR HASTINGS DRIVE, BARWELL

A road closure is required on Hastings Drive, Barwell from the junction with Meadow Road and the junction with Wightman Road on the 3rd February 2020 to undertake gully repairs and other associated work to the highway. Alternative route will be via Wightman Road and Mount Avenue.

Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.

HINCKLEY JOBS FAIR

The Work. Live. Leicestershire (WiLL) project aims to build a better rural future through learning, training and employment opportunities. The project is currently operating in the rural areas of Hinckley and Bosworth. As part of the project a Jobs Fair has been organised at Hinckley Library on 12 February 2020 between 10-12:30.
